Reimold said that the fuel version of the Macan SUV model for non-European markets will be discontinued by 2026. The platform has reached the end of its product cycle, Reimold said. But a Porsche spokesperson clarified that the previous report by Automobilwoche that Porsche will accelerate the transformation speed is not accurate.

Reimold said that even if the overall demand for electric vehicles has declined, after discontinuing fuel vehicles, the company will still focus on the electric Macan model to promote Porsche's sustainable development agenda. I will not let the success of the electric Macan be defined only by a single data, he said.

In addition, Reimold also added that the fuel version of the Boxster and Cayman two-seater sports car series with the code name 718 will also be discontinued at some point next year, replaced by the electric version model that Porsche plans to launch next year. TapTechNews noted that the fuel versions of 718 and Macan for the European market have already been discontinued previously.
