SAIC Volkswagen to Launch ID.3 Pro with Upgraded Intelligent Cockpit on July 31

TapTechNews July 26th news, according to Auto Emperor report, SAIC Volkswagen will launch the ID.3 Pro model on July 31. This model is mainly improved in the intelligent cockpit aspect. For reference, the current Volkswagen ID.3 sells at around 163,000-181,000 yuan ($23,500-$26,000).

TapTechNews learned that the appearance of the SAIC Volkswagen ID.3 Pro model is not much different from the 2024 standard model. Currently, the standard model on sale provides four color options such as Fjord Blue, Star Shine White, Aurora Green, and Ion Gray. The rearview mirrors, A/B pillars, and roof are all blackened, and it is equipped with a family-style illuminated logo and C-shaped LED taillights, and comes standard with 18-inch rims.

In the cockpit aspect, this model will improve the voice assistant and assisted driving functions, and it is expected to continue the 5.3-inch liquid crystal instrument + 10-inch central control screen combination, and add the ARHUD that the standard model needs to select; at the same time, it has safety configurations such as front/rear parking radars, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, active braking, and lane keeping assistance system.

In terms of specifications, the SAIC Volkswagen ID.3 Pro model is expected to continue to maintain the length, width and height of 4261x1778x1568 mm and the wheelbase of 2765 mm, and is equipped with a rear-mounted motor with a maximum power of 125 kilowatts, matching a 52.8 kWh ternary lithium battery.
