Phantom Beasts Paru Announces Major Update

TapTechNews on June 8th, it was reported that Phantom Beasts: Paru today previewed its first major update Sakura Island in the form of a video. This update will bring a new island, new Paru and BOSS, as well as new dungeons and arenas, and will go online on June 27th.

According to the trailer, this island has a unique Japanese flavor, with cherry blossom trees and torii gates everywhere. Of course, a new island also means new partners: purple-clawed creatures, cute walking treasure chests, ghosts, and spinning armor knights.

Phantom Beasts: Paru is produced and distributed by the Japanese game developer PocketPair. The game is set in an open world and is inhabited by creatures Paru that look like animals. Players can fight with Paru and catch Paru to build bases, ride and fight.

TapTechNews previously reported that Phantom Beasts: Paru started early access on Steam and Xbox on January 19, 2024. In the past 100 days since its release, the total game time of all players has exceeded 1.3 billion hours, which is equivalent to 150,000 years.
