Kingston NV3 will still adopt the same PCIe4.0×4 specification as the existing product NV2, the sequential read speed increases to 6000 MB/s, and the sequential write rate will also reach 5000 MB/s, which is a significant improvement compared to 3500/2800 MB/s of NV2.

NV3 solid-state drive will cover four capacity points of 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB, abandoning the 250GB version that appeared on NV2.

TapTechNews noted that NV3 is highly similar in parameters to the KentingBay Kending Bay prototype product previously displayed by Kingston at Computex 2024 in Taipei. The Dutch media Tweakers even directly called KentingBay the iterative version of the NV series.

On the high-end retail level, the Dutch media said that Kingston is still developing a PCIe5.0 solid-state drive based on a non-Phison controller, but this flagship product will not be available until at least next year.
