Beijing Aims for 45 Exaflops of Intelligent Computing Supply by 2025

TapTechNews July 4th news, according to Shangguan News, at the Intelligent Computing and Decision-making Technology Forum of the 2024 Global Digital Economy Conference held on July 3rd, Tang Jianguo, the chief economist of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economics and Information Technology and the executive director of the Digital Economy Task Force, said: Beijing clearly puts forward that by 2025, the local intelligent computing supply scale will reach 45 exaflops and form four computing centers with a capacity of more than 100 million levels in east, west, south and north in Beijing, and construct a 'Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Mongolia' computing power supply corridor to provide efficient computing power supply for the training and reasoning applications of large artificial intelligence models.

Tang Jianguo said that Beijing will also launch a series of artificial intelligence business scenarios, expected to build an AI native city in about two years. There are a total of 166 large model products that have been filed in the country, among which 71 are in Beijing, accounting for about half of the country. In the next step, Beijing will build benchmarking projects in artificial intelligence + robots, artificial intelligence + medical, artificial intelligence + education, artificial intelligence + government services and other aspects to form industry demonstration applications.
