TapTechNews October 8th news, the repair team iFixit today (October 8th) in the latest video, shared the report of disassembling the Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatch, letting us see the internal component design of the thinnest Apple Watch ever by Apple.
After iFixit disassembled, it was found that Apple adopted a closed casing in order to make the Apple Watch more slender without affecting internal components such as sensors and lenses, which means higher requirements for workmanship and assembly, and also means it is more difficult for consumers to repair by themselves. TapTechNews attaches relevant screenshots as follows:
After iFixit disassembled, it was found that the Apple Watch Series 10 is the same as the previous model and adopts a pouch battery design (referring to a lithium battery with an aluminum-plastic composite film package). The watch has a built-in 327 mAh, 1.266 Wh battery and uses traditional adhesives.
The team, after closely observing the OLED screen, believes that the OLED display of the Series 10 has no significant difference from that of the Series 9, except that the Series 10 display is adjusted to achieve a wider viewing angle.
iFixit gave the repairability score of the Apple Watch Series 10 as 3 points (out of 10 points), and the most important deduction item is that it is very difficult to replace the battery and the bottom glass.
