Huawei Launches New MateBook 14 with 2.8K OLED Display and AI Enhancements

On May 15, at the Huawei Summer Full-Scene New Product Launch, the Huawei MateBook 14 was officially released.

Targeting young professionals and college students, the new Huawei MateBook 14 comes in a new color option, Wilderness Green, and features a flagship 2.8K OLED touchscreen. It also upgrades to the new 1st generation Intel® Core™ Ultra high-performance processor, enhancing AI capabilities through Huawei's PanGu Big Model.

In terms of specs, it has a 14.2-inch screen with a 91% high screen-to-body ratio, a 3:2 productivity screen, and features a 2.8K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, maximum brightness of 450 nits, and displays 1.07 billion colors. The screen also boasts high color accuracy across three color spaces—sRGB, P3, and AdobeRGB—each with a ∆E<1.

For eye protection, the new Huawei MateBook 14 is certified for comfort by Rheinland and supports hardware-level low blue light display and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

The new Huawei MateBook 14 also supports the third generation of the HUAWEI M-Pencil (sold separately).

In terms of design, the new Huawei MateBook 14 features the fresh and vibrant Wilderness Green color option, with a super smooth curved design and wedge shape, weighing as light as 1.31kg and as thin as 14.5mm.

The new borderless integrated keyboard provides a free typing experience, with a clean and sophisticated appearance.

Even the consumer might not notice the D-shell, it features a dot art vent design for enhanced precision, strength, and sophistication.

At its core, the new Huawei MateBook 14 is powered by the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 high-performance processor, with 40W TDP performance in a lightweight body. It also comes with up to 32GB of RAM, upgraded SuperTurbo technology, Huawei Shark Fin fan, which reduces noise by 6dB even at a high load of 35W power consumption. It has a large 70Wh battery that supports up to 40W fast charging and reverse charging.

In terms of AI and more, the new Huawei MateBook 14 introduces the Huawei PanGu Big Model and partners with third-party applications like WPS Office and Meow Film to leverage NPU computing power for AI effects creation and experience, such as AI effects and AI cut-out.

The AI space on the new Huawei MateBook 14 introduces partners such as Baidu Wenxin Yiyuan, iFlytek Xinghuo, and Zhipu Qingyan, covering various scenarios including office, study, creation, and software development.
