HP prefixes all its commercial PCs with Elite (high-end) or Pro (low-end), while prefixing consumer/home PCs that are not gaming laptops (that is, not the OMEN Shadow Elf product line) with Omni.

At the same time, it divides into three suffixes of Book, Studio, and Desk according to the product form (laptop, all-in-one, desktop).

In terms of product levels, commercial PCs use the naming sequence of U(ltra), X, 8, 6, 4, 2 (4 and 2 for Pro-prefixed products), while the consumer level uses the naming sequence of U(ltra), X, 7, 5, 3.

In other words, OmniBook X means a consumer sub-flagship laptop, and EliteBook Ultra means a commercial flagship laptop.

OmniDesk 7 is a consumer mid-to-high-end desktop, and ProStudio 4 is a commercial mid-to-low-end all-in-one.

This change means that HP has cancelled sub-brands such as Spectre, Envy, and Dragonfly overseas.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, when HP conducted 3C certification for the EliteBookUltra G1q in China, it still retained the market model of Dragonfly Series High-End Thin and Light Business Notebook Snapdragon Edition.

It seems that HP will not adjust the naming of all product lines in the domestic market for now.
