Antec Partners with AYANEO to Enter PC Handheld Console Market

TapTechNews May 20th news, according to Taiwan media 'Liberty Times' report, mechanical and electrical cooling enterprise Antec today announced to join hands with AYANEO to enter the PC handheld console market and released the first product AntecCoreHS.

Overall, the AntecCoreHS is quite similar to the SLIDE handheld console released by AYANEO at the end of 2023, also equipped with a physical slide keyboard, and there is no obvious difference in the button and joystick layout.

Antec said that AntecCoreHS has both portable gaming and document office functions, and plans to start shipping from June to July this year, mainly targeting 18-30-year-old consumers in the European and American markets, aiming at the Western holiday shopping season at the end of the year.

The handheld console will be equipped with the Windows 11 operating system, including low-level and high-level models, with a pricing range of $600 to $900 (TapTechNews note: currently about 4338 to 6507 RMB).

TapTechNews learned that Antec's business turnover in the first quarter of this year was 240 million New Taiwan dollars (currently about 54 million RMB), a year-on-year decline of 3.71%, and a 2.85% net loss. Antec expects to achieve profitability this year driven by new products such as AntecCoreHS.
