Nanjing's Intelligent Road Infrastructure Plan and Future Prospects
TapTechNews September 23rd news, TapTechNews learned from the tweet of 'Nanjing Release' today that the Nanjing Transportation Group has initially formed a construction plan for intelligent road infrastructure in Nanjing and is promoting the construction of a municipal cloud control basic platform, and gradually forming two application environment creation plans of 'cross-river integration' and'station-city integration'.
At present, the municipal cloud control platform that Nanjing is building will not only boost autonomous driving, but also enable ordinary vehicles to share the convenience of the 'vehicle-road-cloud integration' through technological innovation. The relevant person in charge of the Nanjing Transportation Group introduced that it is expected that by the end of 2024, the cloud control platform will initially take shape and integrate the existing perception data; by 2026, the four core demonstration areas and other areas in the city will be gradually connected to the platform to achieve full opening of road testing and demonstration applications. By then, not only L2 and above autonomous driving vehicles, but also ordinary cars can enjoy the information dividend of 'vehicle-road-cloud' integration.
It is known that by 2026, the local area will achieve the goal of completing the intelligent transformation of 3700 intersections, with the networking rate of traffic signal machines exceeding 97%, creating 500 holographic perception intersections, and building a unified architecture of the municipal-level cloud control platform.
Among them, the end of 2024 is the first stage of the plan, which will connect points to form a piece on the basis of the transformation of signal machines, and plans to conduct intelligent transformation on 850 intersections and deploy 100 holographic intersections to realize the initial coverage of direct communication infrastructure in the main urban area.
Reports say that passengers are expected to experience the scene where there will be vehicles supporting automatic valet parking for automatic connection at a fixed line as soon as they leave the station from the Nanjing South Railway Station hub in the future.
