Currently, Volkswagen Group is accelerating its transformation to the era of intelligent connected vehicles, with the goal of becoming the #1 international automaker in the Chinese market by 2030.

Oliver Blume said that the core of the company's strategy is to always adhere to and implement the policy of 'In China, for China'. By 2030, it will launch more than 30 pure electric vehicle models in China, while promoting the transformation of the fuel vehicle lineup to new energy.

In terms of product planning, in 2025, the Audi brand will launch PPE platform models such as Q6Le-tron, Q6LSportbacke-tron, and A6Le-tron, and the first model jointly built with SAIC Group will also be launched in the same year. In 2026, the two Class B pure electric vehicles jointly developed by Volkswagen and XPeng will also be successively launched on the market, and in the same year, there will also be 4 compact entry-level electric vehicles based on the CMP platform released.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, SAIC Volkswagen sold 100,000 vehicles in China in August, an increase of 13% month-on-month; the cumulative sales in the first 8 months was nearly 700,000. Among them, the delivery of new energy vehicles of SAIC Volkswagen was 14,130 units, an increase of 23.3% year-on-year, while the monthly sales of FAW-Volkswagen in China was 128,000.
