Foreign media previously claimed that the machine is very inexpensive, reportedly about $200 to $300 cheaper than the S5M2 (TapTechNews note: currently about 1444 to 2166 RMB), aiming to attract young people and users with limited budgets. For reference, the domestic Panasonic S5M2 is about 11,000 RMB, so this S9 camera is expected to be used to battle against cameras such as the Fujifilm XE4 / XPRO3.

In addition to the Lumix S9, the two full-frame lenses that Panasonic is expected to launch on May 22nd have focal lengths of 18-40mm and 26mm F8, the former is an autofocus zoom lens, and the latter is a manual focus pancake lens, but both lenses are expected to be officially launched in September-October.
