Leapmotor's Debut in Europe and Future Plans
TapTechNews September 24th news, Leapmotor C10 and T03 vehicles officially went on sale in Europe today, and simultaneously launched the global media test drive in Milan, Italy, marking the official debut of Leapmotor International in Europe.
Currently, Leapmotor C10 and T03 vehicles have started sales in 13 European countries including France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
In October 2023, Leapmotor reached a global strategic partnership with the Stellantis Group. In addition, the Leapmotor International joint venture company established by the Stellantis Group and Leapmotor with a share ratio of 51% : 49% relies on the Stellantis Group's global market layout to increase the sales of the Leapmotor brand in regions other than the Greater China region.
Leapmotor International's electric vehicle products are considered a supplement to the current technology and brand portfolio of the Stellantis Group. With the help of Stellantis' distribution channels, Leapmotor International plans to increase the global sales network to 350 by the fourth quarter. In addition, Leapmotor International also plans to release at least one model every year in the next three years.
Leapmotor officials disclosed that by the end of this year, the European markets involved by Leapmotor International include Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. All the above markets can obtain the sales network and brand management support of the Stellantis Group all over the world.
Starting from the fourth quarter of 2024, the commercial operation of Leapmotor will also expand to the Middle East and Africa (Turkey, Israel and French overseas territories), the Asia-Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal) and South America (Brazil and Chile).
According to TapTechNews' previous report, Leapmotor delivered 30,305 units in August 2024, setting a new historical high, with a year-on-year increase of more than 113% and a month-on-month increase of more than 37%. Among them, the delivery of Leapmotor SUV family in August accounted for more than 72%, and the delivery of Leapmotor C16 exceeded 8000 units, making Leapmotor the third new car-making force with monthly sales exceeding 30,000 units.
Leapmotor previewed that it will debut the first product B10 on a new platform at the Paris Motor Show in the fourth quarter, and this car is for the global young consumer group.
