Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley said in an interview with Reuters: Charging is (for electric vehicles) the biggest hurdle.

After taking two electric vehicle road trips in Europe and the western United States, Farley has a deeper understanding of the issues that customers are concerned about. Farley said: We have spent a lot of time discussing the charging problem of electric vehicles on the road, but it seems that we have ignored the most basic charging solution in the United States.

Farley also interacted with customers in Europe who own a fleet of Ford electric vehicles. In addition to charging, he also believes that the service of Ford Motor also needs to be improved.

Ford said that from October 1st to the end of the year, customers who buy or lease the Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning pickup or E-Transit van can get free chargers and installation services.
