TapTechNews queried social media and found that Android phones of brands such as Pixel series and Samsung all reported this problem, and there are still users reporting this problem continuously.

However, not all Android phones have the above problem. The media tested by sending MMS content containing GIF animations from one iPhone to multiple Android phones. Most Android phones could receive and display normally, but only one had a problem.

It is still not clear what causes the above problem. This sending and receiving process involves mobile phone manufacturers, operators, systems, etc. It will take some time to troubleshoot and finally determine the problem.

The tech media 9to5Google believes that since there is no problem in sending and receiving GIF animations between Android devices, it is inferred that it is most likely an Apple iOS system problem, which may be caused by compression or rendering errors.
