2025 Honda Accord to be Released on September 26th with Upgrades

TapTechNews September 19th news, Guangqi Honda officials announced today that the 2025 Accord will officially go on the market on September 26th. This car will bring some configuration upgrades and be equipped with Honda SENSING 360+ intelligent driving assistance system, while introducing high-precision map.

The official has not released the real car image of the 2025 Accord for the time being. It is expected that the new car will follow the design style of the current model. The front face of the Accord on sale adopts a hexagonal honeycomb grille, and the LED smoked headlamps integrate functions such as streaming turn signals, active cornering lights and adaptive high and low beams; it provides 17- and 18-inch wheels and 19-inch matte black cutting sports wheels as options. The length, width and height are respectively 4980/1862/1449mm (about 196.1/73.3/57.1 inches), and the wheelbase is 2830mm (about 111.4 inches).

In terms of configuration, the car is equipped with a 10.2-inch instrument panel, a 12.3-inch central control screen, an 11.5-inch HUD head-up display, and a cabin environment control knob, which integrates functions such as air conditioning, audio, and lighting. The Accord currently on sale provides two power types: fuel and plug-in hybrid.

e:PHEV model is equipped with the fourth-generation i-MMD dual-motor hybrid system. The 2.0L direct-injection Atkinson engine has a maximum thermal efficiency of 41% and is matched with an E-CVT dual-motor gearbox. The driving speed can reach 175 km/h (about 108.7 mph), and it has a built-in 17.7 kWh battery with a WLTC pure electric range of 82 km (about 51 miles).

Sharp · T-Drive (fuel version) model is equipped with a 1.5L direct-injection turbocharged engine and is matched with a CVT gearbox. The maximum output power is 141 kW (about 190 horsepower), and the peak torque is 260 N·m (about 192 pound-feet).

According to TapTechNews' previous report, Guangqi Honda announced on August 5th that the global cumulative sales of the Accord exceeded 25 million. At present, the domestic model on sale was launched in May 2023, introducing two power types: e:PHEV and Sharp · T-Drive, with a total of 7 versions. Among them, the market指导价 (suggested retail price) of the e:PHEV strong electric intelligent hybrid model is 225,800 - 258,800 yuan, and the market指导价 (suggested retail price) of the Sharp · T-Drive model is 179,800 - 228,800 yuan.
