TapTechNews reported on June 26 that the previously exposed Seagate FireCuda 530R solid-state drive has now officially gone live on the Seagate website.
Seagate said that the FireCuda 530R is the latest iteration in its PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive series, with extremely fast speed, extremely strong durability and excellent performance, and also supports Microsoft's DirectStorage API to create a smooth gaming experience.
The FireCuda 530R adopts the M.2 2280 form factor, including a standard version with a double-sided PCB design and a radiator-equipped version that is PS5-compatible, and this solid-state drive is equipped with the Phison E18 controller, supports the NVMe 1.4 protocol, and is outfitted with 3D TLC NAND flash memory.
The FireCuda 530R comes in three versions: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. The sequential read of each version is 7400 MB/s, and the random read/write is 1300 K IOPS. The sequential write varies according to capacity from 6800 to 7000 MB/s.
The MTBF duration of the FireCuda 530R is 1.8 million hours. Seagate provides a 5-year warranty and a 3-year data rescue service for it. The total number of bytes written within the warranty period for each version is as follows:
1TB capacity: 1100 TBW;
2TB capacity: 2400 TBW;
4TB capacity: 5050 TBW.
The Seagate FireCuda 530R has now been listed on overseas e-commerce platforms. Among them, the 4TB capacity version without a heatsink is priced at $519.99 on the Amazon platform (TapTechNews note: currently about 3781 yuan).
