BYD Song L Gets Version 1.2 OTA Update with Multiple Enhancements

TapTechNews July 12th news, BYD Song L now welcomes version 1.2 OTA update, mainly adding 12 functions such as Gaode Navigation traffic light countdown and new version of system UI, as well as 14 optimizations.

New functions:

Added super ITAC function (applicable to 602KM four-wheel drive excellent type);

Added new system UI (applicable to 662KM excellent type, 602KM four-wheel drive excellent type);

Added Gaode Map traffic light countdown function;

Added intelligent voice multi-car smooth connection function, and vehicles can establish a friendship;

Short messages, locations, and music can be directly shared through intelligent voice;

Added intelligent voice Xiaodi treasure box, preset set off fireworks, set off firecrackers effects;

Added intelligent voice cross-voice region instruction inheritance;

Added intelligent voice custom wake-up word and response;

Added intelligent voice wisdom listening, intelligent judgment of voice pause scenarios;

Added intelligent voice intelligent recommendation, recommending instructions according to car usage scenarios;

Added DiLink automatic split screen switch;

Added desktop card folding strategy;

Function optimizations:

Optimized automatic parking function (applicable to 662KM excellent type, 602KM four-wheel drive excellent type);

Optimized lane change assist function with the shift lever (applicable to 662KM excellent type, 602KM four-wheel drive excellent type);

Optimized the display of intelligent driving function names (applicable to 662KM excellent type, 602KM four-wheel drive excellent type);

Optimized the opening strategy of the electric tail wing in the intelligent driving function;

TapTechNews noted that BYD Song L was launched in December last year, with an official guided price of $28,980 to $37,980. This new car has a length, width and height of 4840 * 1950 * 1560 (mm), and a wheelbase of 2930mm.

In terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with a 15.6-inch high-definition central control screen, a 10.25-inch full liquid crystal instrument, a 50-inch head-up display and a 5.8-inch rear air conditioning control screen to form a 2+1+1 intelligent multi-screen system, and also supports functions such as UWB digital ke y, EC adjustable light sunroof, wide temperature range heat pump air conditioning, and 50W mobile phone wireless charging.

In terms of power, BYD Song L provides two powers of single motor rear drive and dual motor four-wheel drive. The maximum power of the single motor version is 230 kW, and the CLTC cruising range is 340 miles and 410 miles.

The total power of the dual-motor four-wheel drive version is 380 kW, the total torque is 494 lb-ft, the 0-60 mph acceleration takes 4.3 seconds, and the CLTC cruising range is 410 miles, and the maximum speed is 125 mph.
