Zeekr's New Flagship SUV with Nvidia's Thor Chip to Be Released in 2025

TapTechNews August 21st news, at the Geely Automobile 2024 interim results conference, An Conghui, president of Geely Holding Group and CEO of Zeekr Intelligent Technology, disclosed that Zeekr's first new flagship SUV model equipped with Nvidia's Thor chip is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2025.

Nvidia released the brand-new NVIDIADRIVEThor platform on September 20, 2022, with a computing power of up to 2000 TFLOPS, which is twice that of Altan and 8 times that of Orin. Nvidia stated at that time that Zeekr would be the first to launch this platform in 2025.

Nvidia said that NVIDIADRIVEThor can achieve AI performance balance, integrating AV and Cockpit on one computer, and can centralize all intelligent vehicle functions on a small AI computer to achieve safe and reliable autonomous driving.

In addition, automakers can customize the Thor superchip in various ways.
