New BYD Song LDM-i and Song PLUS DM-i to Debut with Fifth-Generation DM Technology

TapTechNews July 18th news, TapTechNews learned from the official BYD that the brand-new Song LDM-i and Song PLUS DM-i new cars have arrived at the store and will hold a listing conference on July 25th, equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology.

The body size of BYD Song LDM-i is 4780mm in length, 1898mm in width and 1670mm in height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2782mm. (1 inch = 25.4mm)

This new car adopts the Dragon Roar Dawn Front Face design, is equipped with Dragon Soul Pleasant Headlights, Dragon Color Flying Wing Waistline, New Streaming Light Ray Taillights, and the rear uses the Dragon Riding Wide Shoulder Design.

In terms of interior, Song LDM-i provides a brown interior option, is equipped with a simple rectangular central control large screen, the panel in front of the co-pilot shows a luminous geometric pattern, and the front and rear seats are all perforated designs. In addition, the car also provides configurations such as crystal gearshift knob, wireless charging, ambient lights, etc., and some physical buttons are retained at positions such as the steering wheel.

In terms of configuration, the brand-new Song LDM-i supports intelligent power on and off, 50W wireless fast charging, 10-speaker INFINITY sound system, DiPilot intelligent driving assistance, automatic parking and other functions.

In terms of power, Song LDM-i will be equipped with the brand-new fifth-generation DM hybrid system, in which the 1.5-liter engine has a maximum power of 74 kilowatts and the drive motor has a maximum power of 160 kilowatts, equipped with 18.316 / 26.593 kWh batteries, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers in the power loss state is 4.95 liters and 4.98 liters respectively.

The appearance of the new Song PLUS DM-i is basically the same as that of the current model, and the rear logo is changed from BUILD YOUR DREAMS to BYD. The body size remains unchanged, with a length, width and height of 4775 / 1890 / 1670 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2765 mm, positioned as a compact SUV.

In terms of power, the new Song PLUS DM-i adopts the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, and the 1.5-liter engine has a maximum power of 74 kilowatts, and the drive motor has a maximum power of 160 kilowatts. Compared with the current model, the engine power is reduced by 7 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the drive motor is increased by 15 kilowatts.

The new Song PLUS DM-i is expected to be equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries of 12.96 kWh, 18.316 kWh and 26.593 kWh. The pure electric cruising range under the WLTC working condition is 60 kilometers, 91 kilometers and 128 kilometers respectively, which is 5 kilometers, 6 kilometers and 12 kilometers higher than that of the current model. The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers in the WLTC working condition of different cruising range models is 4.93 liters, 4.95 liters and 4.98 liters respectively, which is 0.47 liters, 0.35 liters and 0.42 liters lower than that of the current model.
