It is introduced that the Xiaomi car factory covers an area of 718,000 square meters and a construction area of 396,000 square meters. The establishment of this factory lasted for 13 months. It was initially designed according to the annual production capacity of 150,000 units, but now it has far exceeded this level. Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, Lei Jun predicted that Xiaomi SU7 will complete the delivery target of 100,000 units for the whole year by early November this year.

He said that Xiaomi was originally designed to produce one car every 76 seconds, that is, 40 cars per hour. Later, because the production capacity was being pulled up, and the double-shift system was implemented in June and the entire production line was encrypted to achieve an increase in production capacity.

Wang Hua also mentioned that what makes the Xiaomi car factory different from other traditional car factories is that Xiaomi has its own battery factory and has independently developed its own battery pack, which is independently developed by Xiaomi and manufactured in its own factory.

'We also have a prototype of Xiaomi SU7Ultra, which uses a self-developed V8s motor with 27,200 revolutions. This car has broken many records, such as within 2 seconds for zero to 100 acceleration, and we will also go to compete in the Nurburgring in October to run the track. Our goal is to become the fastest four-door electric car in the Nurburgring within ten years.' Wang Hua said.

He also mentioned that now the comprehensive automation rate of Xiaomi's body shop is 91%, and the automation rate of key processes is 100%. There are only about a hundred workers in the workshop, and the workshop is no longer a labor-intensive industry. The main work of the workers is to manage equipment and machines.

In addition, the top of the Xiaomi car factory is all photovoltaic panels, which can generate 16.4 million kWh of electricity annually and can meet 30% of the power consumption of the factory, and the factory's wastewater treatment rate reaches 99%.
