BAIC Group issued a clarification statement this afternoon, stating that in recent years, Beijing Automobile Works Co., Ltd. has used BAIC Group's Beijing, BAIC Motors, BAIC and other trademarks and trade names in its products, publicity, and names of its subsidiaries, and repeatedly mentioned historical items such as Jinggangshan and 212 in the history of Beijing's automotive industry.

BAIC Group said that Beijing Automobile Works Co., Ltd. is a private enterprise whose main production base is located in Qingdao, Shandong. It has no equity or property rights relationship with BAIC Group, and BAIC Group does not assume any responsibility for the after-sales and services of related products.

Just yesterday, the aforementioned Beijing Automobile Works launched a new vehicle - the new BAIC Manufacturing 212. The car is planned to go on the market by the end of this year and adopts a brand-new 212 logo. The newly launched vehicle is a non-load-bearing SUV, which belongs to a deep off-road vehicle model.
