Second Season of 'Joy of Life' Breaks Records with Over 29 Million Viewers on First Day

Currently, the real-time viewership has topped the charts, leading all TV series on the internet.

According to the official Weibo account of 'CCTV Drama,' data shows that the CCTV-8 prime-time drama 'Joy of Life 2' peaked at over 2 million live viewers.

TapTechNews learned that 'Joy of Life 2' was written by Wang Juan, directed by Sun Hao, and starred Zhang Ruoyun, Li Qin, Chen Daoming, Wu Gang, Guo Qilin, and Tian Yu, with most of the original cast returning. The drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Mao Ni, telling the story of a young man named Fan Xian with a mysterious background who faces various challenges and experiences in his life in the family, society, and imperial court.

Due to the popularity of the first season of 'Joy of Life,' there are high expectations for the second season. Starting from May 16th, 'Joy of Life 2' airs daily at 19:30 on CCTV-8, with Tencent Video members getting 2 episodes every Monday to Friday at 19:30 and 1 episode every Saturday and Sunday at 19:30. The first week will have 4 episodes, with SVIP members getting early access to 1 episode.
