XPeng Motors said that it thanked Jiao Qingchun for his tremendous contributions to the company in product technology and team leadership. At the same time, it emphasized that currently, XPeng Motors has also made preparations in the organizational structure, and the successor has been deeply engaged in the technical professional field for many years.

Before leaving, Jiao Qingchun had been in charge of the work of the XPeng Automobile Technology Center and was also the project leader of the new XPeng H platform. The MPV model XPeng X9, which was newly launched at the beginning of this year, was produced on this platform and is currently the only mass-produced vehicle. The automative technology center of XPeng is responsible for the research and development related to the whole vehicle, including embedded development, chassis, body, interior and exterior trim, and electronic and electrical architecture.

According to the report, after Jiao Qingchun left, the H platform will be led by Li Yifan, the original head of the E platform, and Yu Peng, the head of the embedded development department under the original XPeng Automobile Technology Center, will take over as the head of the technology center.

TapTechNews noted that the data showed that in June, XPeng Motors delivered a total of 10,668 new vehicles, an increase of 24% year-on-year and a 5% increase month-on-month. In the first half of the year, XPeng Motors cumulatively delivered a total of 52,028 new vehicles, an increase of 26% year-on-year.
