SAIC Motor and Audi Sign Cooperation Agreement for High-End Intelligent Electric Vehicles

TapTechNews May 20th, SAIC Motor and Audi jointly announced that after signing a memorandum of understanding to deepen strategic cooperation in July last year, the two sides officially signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop several high-end intelligent electric vehicles for SAIC Audi and jointly develop the Advanced Digitized Platform intelligent digital platform.

It is learned that the two sides are integrating superior resources to jointly develop a subsequent series of electric vehicle models. The first product is expected to be officially launched in 2025. TapTechNews noted that in July last year, Volkswagen released an official statement: The Volkswagen brand reached a technical cooperation framework agreement with XPeng Motors, and Audi signed a memorandum with SAIC Motor and deepened the existing cooperation. Both cooperation contents mentioned that they will jointly develop electric intelligent connected vehicles exclusively for the Chinese market. The two sides of Audi and SAIC Motor will combine their respective advantages to accelerate the development of SAIC Audi's new electric vehicle models to meet the needs of Chinese users for high-end electric intelligent connected vehicles.
