TapTechNews reported in June this year that Intel plans to launch the next-generation desktop CPU codenamed ArrowLake under the brand of Core Ultra 200 series in October this year. Now it seems that the release plan has been adjusted.

It is reported that Intel will hold the ON event in September this year and will officially announce the relevant information of the Core Ultra 200 series. Intel's chief executive Pat Gelsinger has previously confirmed that the ArrowLake CPU will first land on the desktop platform and then on the notebook computer chips.

The key selling point of the ArrowLake desktop CPU is the new LionCove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores, and the IPC of both has increased by 14% and 38% respectively compared to the previous generations of products, and the increase is even greater compared to the cores of the RaptorLake CPU.

Another improvement is reflected in the power consumption. The TDP of these chips will be 80% of that of the RaptorLake, which means they will not be as aggressive as the 14th generation products.
