Anker Launches MagGo Series USB Type-C Card Reader A83D1 in Overseas Market

TapTechNews September 14th news, referring to the report of TheVerge in Beijing time today, Anker has launched the MagGo series USB Type-C card reader device with model A83D1 in the overseas market. This card reader adopts the appearance of a small puck like an ice hockey puck and supports Apple MagSafe magnetic adsorption.

The A83D1 card reader adopts the USB3.2 Gen2 10Gbps protocol and has a card reader-cable integrated design. The Type-C interface that connects to the upstream device is bent at 90 degrees and can be stored in the groove on the back of the card reader.

The A83D1 complies with the SD4.0 specification and is compatible with SD and microSD (TF) memory cards, and supports a transmission rate of 312MB/s. When used with a relatively high-spec memory card with a capacity of at least 256GB and a write speed of 220MB/s, it supports Apple iPhone 4K 60 ProRes external recording.

Since this card reader occupies both the iPhone's USB Type-C interface and the MagSafe wireless charging position, Anker has equipped the A83D1 with a power supply pass-through function: it has a charging-only USB Type-C interface on the side that supports PD, with a maximum output power of 42.5W.

The A83D1 card reader comes in three colors: aurora white, rock black, and sprout green, and is priced at 34.99 US dollars each on Anker's overseas official website (TapTechNews note: currently about 249 RMB).
