The pictures obtained by the car media SupercarBlog show that compared to its previous-generation model P1, W1's appearance is not as pure as the latter, but closer to a mixture of acute angles and curves. The car's front is angular, and McLaren's classic design elements can be found on the side of the car: a large air intake shaped similar to the McLaren logo, and there is also a floating baffle similar to the style of F1 behind the front wheel, and the windows cannot be fully lowered.

In terms of interior, the car's cockpit is overall dynamic and simple, equipped with a slender center console, including a touch screen, a digital instrument panel, and a strangely shaped steering wheel. The car seat has a fixed structure, and the driver can adjust the pedal position according to their own needs.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, McLaren Automotive CEO Michael Leiters said: McLaren W1 adheres to the principles of a true supercar and is the ultimate expression of McLaren's supercars.Derived from our rich racing history and world championship mindset, W1 breaks through the limit of performance and deserves the title of '1'. Just like its predecessors F1 and P1, W1 redefines the rules of a true supercar.

This new car will adopt McLaren's latest design language and be equipped with a brand-new V8 hybrid system. For comparison, McLaren P1 was released in 2013, equipped with a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor, with a combined output power reaching 916 horsepower and a peak torque of 900 N·m.

P1, along with Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, is known as the Holy Trinity in the supercar world. Currently, the successor of LaFerrari (code-named F250) and the production version of the successor of 918 Spyder, Mission X, are also in development.
