TapTechNews October 6th news, according to foreign media VideoCardZ today, Intel confirms that it will equip the next-generation PantherLake processor with the fifth-generation NPU (Neural Network Processor), named NPU5.
In order to adapt to the development of the AIPC era, Intel has currently equipped NPU in MeteorLake and LunarLake processors, but currently it can only handle some simple AI tasks.
Reports say that PantherLake may debut in the form of Core Ultra300, and it will adopt a new NPU named NPU5. This will be the third major update in the NPU design of the Intel Core Ultra processor series after NPU3 in MeteorLake and NPU4 in LunarLake.

The foreign media Phoronix also pointed out that Intel employees have confirmed that the fifth-generation NPU will be included in the upcoming PantherLake CPU.
