TapTechNews August 1st news, Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery have pooled their sports resources to launch a brand-new sports streaming service - VenuSports (officially launching this autumn), claiming to offer the most comprehensive sports programming.
VenuSports costs $42.99 per month (TapTechNews note: currently about 311 Chinese yuan), much higher than AppleTV+ or Netflix, but lower than other sports streaming services, and will also offer a one-week free trial.
According to the introduction, Venu includes multiple sports channels (such as ESPN, ABC, FOX and TNT), but lacks CBS and NBC resources. If you want to supplement these two major channels, you need to purchase the subscription services of Paramount+ and Peacock separately.
For comparison, if a sports fan wants to watch similar sports programs through other channels, at least $70 or more needs to be paid for services such as YouTubeTV or HuluPlusLiveTV, so this $42.99 is still relatively low.
