Giant Network's 2024 Semi-annual Report Revenue, Profits, Dividends, and Product Updates
TapTechNews August 29th news, this evening, Giant Network released its semi-annual report for 2024, achieving operating income of 1.427 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.13%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 718 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.16%; and non-net profit attributable to the parent company was 884 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.92%.
TapTechNews noted that Giant Network also announced its intention to distribute a cash dividend of 1.40 yuan per 10 shares to all shareholders, with a cash dividend amount of 265 million yuan; and it has cumulatively distributed 2.65 billion yuan in dividends since its listing in 2016.
According to the introduction, the two most important product lines of Giant Network are currently the Journey series and Balls Battle. Among them, Journey mainly includes four products: Journey, Journey 2, Green Journey, and Journey Nostalgic Edition; while Balls Battle is a multiplayer casual competitive mobile online game independently developed and released by the company.
During the reporting period, several mini-program games in the Journey IP track successively went online or entered the testing stage. Journey of the King has cumulatively added more than 8 million new users, and Balls Battle continued the income growth trend since the second half of 2023. The active ARPU during the Spring Festival set a historical high, and the water flow during the Spring Festival file set a new high in nearly five years.
In addition, Space Kill (SuperSus) continued to deeply cultivate the domestic market. It was globally launched on overseas AppStore and Googleplay in the first half of the year, topping the overall list of the Thai AppStore and the game lists in many regions such as Indonesia, Brazil, and Malaysia, and the DAU continued to grow steadily and set a new high during the year.
