BMW X1 M35Li Officially Unveiled for Debut at 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show
TapTechNews May 31th, as the first domestic M performance version model, the official image of (BMW Brilliance) BMW X1 M35Li has been officially released and will make its world debut at the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show, competing against the AMG GLB 35 4MATIC model.
This car will be the first M performance car born in the Shenyang production base of Brilliance BMW and can realize co-production with the BMW iX1 and the BMW X1. This new car is equipped with a high-power B48 engine with a maximum power of 246 kW and is matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch and four-wheel drive system.
In terms of appearance, the new car will offer the M performance car's signature Flame Red car paint, and the front face adopts an M-exclusive vertical double-slatted grille. It will adopt multiple smoked black decoration kits, an M-exclusive vertical double-slatted grille, an M-exclusive bilateral double-outlet exhaust layout, an M-exclusive 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and an M-exclusive braking system with red calipers.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of this car are respectively 4616/1845/1627mm, and the wheelbase is 2802mm, which is consistent with the domestic X1.
In terms of interior, the X1 M35Li adopts an M sports steering wheel with a red alignment mark at the 12 o'clock position. The interior trim panels are also different from X1 to create a stronger sporty atmosphere.
In terms of configuration, the new car will be equipped with the 9th generation (BMW) operating system. The integrated suspension curved surface screen integrates a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch central touch display. This car will also be equipped with L2+ level autopilot assistance functions and M-exclusive instruments and head-up display functions. As TapTechNews knows, the new car also supports BMW Digital Key Plus, and the vehicle can be easily unlocked without carrying the traditional key.
In terms of power, the BMW X1 M35Li is equipped with the MTwinPower 2.0T inline-four cylinder turbocharged engine tuned by BMW M, c ode-named B48A20H, and its maximum power is 246 kW.
According to the introduction, MTwinPowerTurbo turbocharging has introduced dual injection technology to improve the performance of the turbocharging system. In terms of the transmission system, this car will adopt a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and the xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system.
BMW said that this year it will bring nearly 10 performance and high-performance models to China. By the end of this year, the number of M series models in China is expected to expand to 23, covering compact cars to medium and large luxury cars, covering three driving forms of gasoline, electricity, and plug-in hybrid.
