UK AI Safety Institute Launches AI Model Security Assessment Platform 'Inspect'

TapTechNews May 13 news, the UK Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute (AISafetyInstitute) recently launched an AI model security assessment platform named Inspect. The platform is open source and available for free to AI engineers worldwide, allowing engineers to evaluate the performance and security of their models.

TapTechNews noted that the Inspect platform is mainly composed of three major frameworks: Dataset, Solver, and Scorer, which can be used to evaluate specific aspects of various AI models, including the core knowledge reserves, reasoning ability, and autonomy of the models. The relevant frameworks will score each item based on the model test results. In addition to the built-in test suite, Inspect also allows developers to add other testing frameworks through Python plug-ins.

Ian Hogarth, director of the UK AI Safety Institute, stated that the reason for launching the Inspect platform is to believe in the power of open source. The platform can encourage more people to make contributions, improve the transparency and reproducibility of AI models, and reduce the costs for engineers.
