XPeng Huitian's Flying Car Completes Cross-River Flight Demonstration in Guangzhou

TapTechNews September 14th news, XPeng Huitian officially announced on the 13th that its flying car completed the cross-river flight demonstration from Canton Tower to Haixinsha, which is also the first urban low-altitude flight route to be opened soon in Guangzhou.

On that day, XPeng Huitian signed a cooperation framework agreement with two subsidiaries of Guangzhou City Investment Group to jointly explore other cooperation and industrial development opportunities in the low-altitude industry chain, including research on the construction of takeoff and landing points, low-altitude commercial development, and investment in low-altitude new infrastructure funds.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, on May 31 this year, Guangzhou issued the Guangzhou Low-Altitude Economy Development Implementation Plan and put forward a series of development goals: By 2027, the overall scale of Guangzhou's low-altitude economy will reach about 150 billion yuan. The general aviation infrastructure and flight environment have been significantly improved, the industrial system dominated by high-end intelligent manufacturing has initially formed, the reform of low-altitude airspace management has achieved results, the low-altitude flight service guarantee capacity has been significantly enhanced, and the technological innovation level in the low-altitude field leads the country.

In terms of urban advanced air traffic commercial operation, promoting Guangzhou to become the first city in China to carry out manned flight commercial operation. The market scale of key operation service fields such as cross-border flight, business customization, short-haul passenger transport, cultural tourism consumption, logistics and transportation, emergency medical treatment, and exhibition services has reached 30 billion yuan.
