(FCTS) and United Fuel Cell System R & D (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (FCRD) was officially put into operation in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total area of 113,000 square feet.

Among them, the area of the first phase is 44,000 square feet, mainly including 7 building monomers such as production plants, test workshops, R & D centers and office buildings, laboratories, comprehensive station buildings, waste depots, and hydrogen supply stations, mainly carrying out the R & D and production functions of hydrogen fuel cell systems and stacks based on Toyota technology.

According to the introduction, based on Toyota technology, the factory will be promoted by FCRD for the R & D work of fuel cell systems, and by FCTS for the production and sales of fuel cell systems and stacks. The maximum annual production capacity of the first phase can reach 10,000 units, and the second phase project is expected to start in 2026. At the ceremony, the first hydrogen fuel cell system TLPower150 was officially offline.

Last July, Toyota's CTO Nakajima Hiroki said that the company will focus on selling hydrogen-powered trucks and passenger cars in China and Europe, and plans to sell 200,000 such cars by 2030. Nakajima Hiroki stated that by focusing on China and Europe where hydrogen production and demand are relatively high, Toyota's goal is to reduce costs. He also emphasized that Toyota will seek to strengthen the connection with other companies.
