TapTechNews May 17 news, developer Mishaal Rahman recently published a blog post, digging into the Android 15 Beta 2 update process, discovering a new 'Adaptive Vibration' feature.
The feature is located in the 'Sound and Vibration' > 'Vibration and Touch' settings of Android 15 Beta 2, and is currently active on Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro phones. TapTechNews attaches relevant screenshots as follows:
According to the feature description, 'Adaptive Vibration' will automatically adjust the phone's vibration based on the environment you are in, using the phone's microphone and other sensors to determine the sound and surrounding environment. Google promises not to record any data to protect privacy.
On the Adaptive Vibration page, Android provides a helpful animation that explains the function of the feature. The animation shows that when the feature is enabled, the vibration intensity of the phone's haptic feedback will be stronger when placed on a sofa, and weaker when placed on a table.
