Today, NVIDIA launched the latest 10.0.2 version of the NVIDIA App beta, with new features including display settings, RTX video enhancement control, application sorting, and application translation functions for users in other countries/regions (TapTechNews attached the official download address: www.nvidia.cn/software/nvidia-app).

New monitor and RTX video functions added to GPU control center

In the new version of the NVIDIA App, a new Displays section has been added to the System tab, allowing users to control the resolution, refresh rate, and display orientation of connected monitors and TVs.

NVIDIA also promised to continue to provide more related functions in the future, such as G-SYNC controls, Surround options, custom resolutions, and multi-monitor support. At the same time, NVIDIA also said that it is working hard to develop the highly anticipated RTX HDR multi-monitor support function.

In this update, a new Video section was also launched, in which new RTX VSR video enhancement and a custom slider for RTX Video HDR were added.

With the help of AI, RTX Video HDR can instantly convert any standard dynamic range (SDR) video played in an internet browser into a vivid and bright high dynamic range (HDR) video; it can also display more vivid dynamic colors in streaming videos and local files played on Chromium-based browsers (such as Chrome or Edge), Mozilla Firefox, and the RTX branch of the VLC media player.

In addition, NVIDIA also announced that RTX VSR video super-resolution uses AI to enhance the streaming video playback of various series of GeForce RTX GPUs, eliminating the blocking effect of video compression and improving the edge sharpness when zooming.

In other aspects, the Statistics Overlay in the new version of the NVIDIA App can also display 1% Low FPS statistics, as well as more than a dozen other real-time statistics, including CPU utilization, latency, and complete GPU information.

As the version is gradually up dated, NVIDIA plans to add the remaining NVIDIA Control Panel options in the future, aiming to achieve the integration of the NVIDIA Control Panel and GeForce Experience, and plans to migrate GeForce Experience users to the new NVIDIA App by the end of the year.
