Geely Automobile Announces 2024 H1 Results and Cooperation with Renault
TapTechNews August 21st news, Geely Automobile announced its 2024 first-half results today, achieving operating income of 107.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 46.6%; the profit attributable to non-controlling shareholders after deduction increased to 3.37 billion yuan. Li Donghui, CEO of Geely Holding Group and vice chairman and executive director of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, said that the joint venture company HORSE (HorsePowertrainLimited) jointly established by Geely and Renault is progressing smoothly, and it is expected to launch a new Koleos model in South Korea in September.
Before that, the Renault Koleos (GrandKoleos) had already made its debut during the Busan International Motor Show in South Korea. As a sister model of the Xingyue L, this model is jointly developed by Geely and Renault, and the power part is equipped with a 1.5T petrol-electric hybrid system.
This car adopts a frameless middle net and hangs a diamond-shaped Renault logo. The entire front face is full of straight lines with a sharp style. The side of its body continues the styling style and overall outline of the Xingyue L, but the temperament is different from the Xingyue L that tends to be soft.
This model provides four configurations such as the espritAlpine version, the espritAlpine four-wheel drive version, the iconic version and the techno version. The cockpit is equipped with 3 12.3-inch screens, integrating navigation, music, seat control, in-car temperature control and various infotainment functions. The front passenger entertainment screen also has built-in streaming media and podcast applications that conform to the usage habits of local users.
In terms of power, the new car provides two power options of a 1.5-liter E-Tech hybrid system and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The former has a maximum output power of 245 horsepower; the latter can choose a four-wheel drive system and has multiple driving modes such as comfort, environmental protection, sports, intelligence, snow, and off-road.
