High-Risk Vulnerability Found in Outlook

TapTechNews June 20 - A high-risk vulnerability was discovered in Outlook by security research experts a few months ago, and the fact that Microsoft has not given any response after months of reporting has made them very dissatisfied. Then they posted a complaint on the X platform and shared the relevant technical details with TechCrunch.

SolidLab security researcher Vsevolod Kokorin discovered a vulnerability, with which he could impersonate any Outlook account and send malicious emails through legitimate accounts. TapTechNews has attached relevant screenshots as follows:

After SolidLab discovered the vulnerability a few months ago, they immediately reported it to Microsoft, but could not reproduce the vulnerability, so Kokorin sent a video showing the process by which he successfully exploited the vulnerability through a complete Proof of Concept (PoC).

Microsoft could not reproduce the vulnerability, so it closed this problem. After Kokorin's complaint drew attention, Microsoft probably re-examined the report he submitted and reopened this problem.
