TapTechNews May 29th, blogger HoangAnhPhu revealed today that AMD will launch the dual-slot version of the Radeon PRO W7900 workstation graphics card in early June, specifically designed for AI needs.
TapTechNews previously reported that AMD released the Radeon PRO W7900 graphics card in April 2023, featuring the Navi31 core with 6144 SPs and 48GB of GDDR6 memory with a 384-bit bus width.
According to the introduction, the original W7900 graphics card adopts a three-slot design and has a thermal design power consumption of 295 watts, and the suggested retail price is $3,999 (TapTechNews note: currently about 28,993 RMB).
It is not yet clear what the specific heatsink design plan of the dual-slot version is and whether adjustments will be made to the graphics card's power consumption.
