Microsoft Releases Windows 11 KB5037853 Update with New Features

TapTechNews May 30th news, Microsoft today released the KB5037853 non-security optional update for the Windows 11 system. After installing on 22H2, the version number rises to Build 22621.3672, and after installing on 23H2, the version number rises to Build 22631.3672.

TapTechNews note: The content of this optional update is basically the same as the previous release through the ReleasePreview channel, but there is one difference that is Microsoft PC Manager. The update log does not mention that Microsoft PC Manager (PCManager) will be added for domestic devices.

The Windows 11 Build 226x1.3672 update content is as follows:

New feature: Added a new feature to prevent accidental closing of the Windows sharing window. Clicking outside the window will no longer close the window. To close the window, select the close button in the upper right corner. Please note that since this feature will be gradually rolled out, not all users can use it.

New feature: Users can drag and drop files into the path in the address bar in the File Explorer with the mouse.

New feature: Users can directly share to the specified Microsoft Teams channels and group chats in the Windows sharing window. To use this feature, users must log in with the Microsoft EntraID.

New feature: Users can create a QR code for web page URLs and cloud files in the Windows sharing window.

New feature: Windows will now back up many of your sound settings (including your sound scheme). This only happens if you turn on the Remember my preferences and select the Personalization and Other Windows settings checkboxes.

New feature: Users can now send an email to themselves from the Windows sharing window. You will receive an email through the email address in your Microsoft account.

New feature: This update starts to roll out the Add Now button in Settings > Accounts. After selecting this button, if you have not added a recovery email address for your Microsoft account, you can add it.

New feature: Users can log in with a Microsoft account in the Windows Backup application.
