Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory Models Meet Regulatory Requirements, Tesla Only Foreign Company to Comply According to CAAM Report

It mentioned that all models produced at the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory meet regulatory requirements and is the only foreign-funded company that meets regulatory requirements. In response to this, Fu Bingfeng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of CAAM, said in an interview with China Daily that implementing automobile data processing security is a new starting point for the development of smart cars. In the first batch, all six Chinese and foreign carmakers voluntarily participated in the inspection, including the only foreign-funded carmaker, Tesla. According to TapTechNews, the report includes a total of 76 models from six companies such as BYD, Ideal, Lotus, JAC, Tesla, and NIO that meet the four compliance requirements for automobile data security. The four compliance requirements are: anonymization of facial information outside the vehicle, no default collection of cabin data, on-board processing of cabin data, and explicit notification of personal information processing.
