This week, some X users pointed out that Tesla has quietly deleted the Cybertruck's no-resale policy from its sales agreement. This policy prohibits the buyer from selling their Foundation Series Cybertruck within one year of taking delivery, otherwise they will face a fine of $50,000 (TapTechNews note: currently about 356,000 Chinese yuan) or more, and Tesla also prohibits some resellers from buying its vehicles again.

The deletion of this clause comes at a time when Tesla begins to sell Foundation Series Cybertruck more widely. Buyers can now purchase these electric vehicles directly from the company's online order configurator without having to make a reservation.

Despite the previous existence of this policy, some people still resold their Cybertruck. Tesla wrote in an email sent to those who resold Cybertruck in March: In the future, any future orders you place will be cancelled and the $100 reservation fee or the $250 order fee will not be refunded.

Tesla has been expanding the Cybertruck production at its Texas Austin Gigafactory, and this electric vehicle is the best-selling model over $100,000 in the United States in the past two months.
