Polestar Partners with NIO for Expanded EV Charging Network

TapTechNews June 6th, according to Yiche, Polestar announced today that it has achieved interoperability with NIO's charging network.

From now on, users of Polestar's pure electric vehicle models can log in to the Polestar App and use the more than 2,200 charging stations and over 11,000 charging piles of NIO across the country. These charging piles not only cover more than 280 cities across the country, but also are located on the main expressways such as G2, G30, G40, and G45, as well as popular tourist routes such as the Western Sichuan Grand Loop, the Sichuan-Tibet Line 318, and the Duku Highway.

TapTechNews noted that in March this year, Polestar has already reached a charging network interoperability cooperation with Tesla China. This cooperation with NIO further expands the coverage of its charging network. As of May 31st, Polestar's self-operated super charging stations have been put online in 22 locations, covering 17 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Chengdu.

In addition, in terms of interoperability with third-party public charging service providers, Polestar has also made progress. Up to now, Polestar has access to nearly 750,000 charging pile resources, covering 98% of the prefecture-level administrative regions across the country.
