Huami Releases ZeppOS4 with OpenAI's GPT-4o for Smart Watches Overseas
TapTechNews July 2nd news, Huami launched the ZeppOS4 watch system that integrates OpenAI's GPT-4o large model overseas today. This system will be pushed to AmazfitBalance and AmazfitActive smart watches as the sixth software update.
According to the introduction, ZeppOS4 introduces an upgraded ZeppFlow, which uses OpenAI's GPT-4o to improve natural language interaction. Users can seamlessly control the device through voice commands and support managing settings, replying to messages from Android applications such as WhatsApp (will support iOS in the future), and initiating Bluetooth phone calls.
After upgrading to ZeppOS4, ZeppFlow will support English and German voice responses, and French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese voice responses will be launched at the end of July.
In addition, ZeppOS4 also improves the Bluetooth function and can be seamlessly integrated with more peripheral devices. Support controlling Sonos speakers, Garmin cycling computer, GoPro and DJI action cameras.
For mini-programs, this update introduces a series of new tools including the Exercise Extension type mini-program, which supports personalized customization of the user interface of the watch during exercise. This tool is also compatible with the existing ZeppOS3.5 devices.
TapTechNews noted that AmazfitT-RexUltra, Falcon and Cheetah series watches will be upgraded later in 2024.
