It is reported that the Gravity-1 mock arrow was in a vertical state during the test. Through special fixation and protection measures, it completed a total mileage of about 920 nautical miles (TapTechNews note: 1703.84 kilometers) from Dandong in Liaoning in the north to Lianyungang in Jiangsu in the south, successfully withstood the bumps and swings caused by the waves and completed the scheduled marine voyage plan.

The official said that the purpose of this multi-sea area maneuver test for the Gravity-1 launch vehicle's marine launch is to verify the adaptability of the rocket to specific sea conditions during the vertical state's marine transportation, and to ensure the safety and reliability of the rocket during the long-distance marine transportation. The test covers multiple links such as rocket assembly, roll-on/roll-off boarding, marine transportation, berth disassembly and assembly, and roll-on/roll-off disembarkation.

This test also completed the disassembly and assembly plan for the successful separation and independent hoisting of the satellite fairing assembly from the arrow body at the ports along the way, solving the problem of asynchronous factory delivery time between the satellite and the rocket. The official said that this scheme allows the precise disassembly and assembly at sea, enhancing the convenience of docking.

Also, the Assembly, Integration and Test Center (AIT Center) of the Oriental Aerospace Port rocket has been completed, and will later serve as the core of Oriental Space's front store and back factory one-stop service model, integrating rocket assembly, testing, and various preparatory work before launch.

The official website of Oriental Space shows that the Gravity-1 is positioned to meet the needs of large-scale networking of low-orbit small and medium-sized satellites. It is characterized by large space/simple launch/quick response and is the world's first fully solid-bundled medium-sized launch vehicle. The Gravity-1 uses a three-and-a-half-stage configuration of the core stage + boosters, equipped with 4 boosters. Both the core stage and the boosters use solid rocket motors and flexible swing nozzles. The core third stage can also use a liquid oxygen kerosene engine to further improve the carrying capacity.

Oriental Space was founded in 2020, and its main business is space transportation. It is a company that designs, manufactures and provides services for launch vehicles and new aerospace transportation tools. Through the research and development of the Gravity series of launch vehicles, the company creates a series of diversified and flight-like aerospace transportation products such as one-time use, recyclable reusable and manned flight.

In January of this year, at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in China, the Gravity-1 commercial launch vehicle was used in the sea area near Haiyang, Shandong to successfully send the three satellites of Yunyao-1 18-20 into the预定轨道, and the flight test mission was a complete success.
