Xiaomi Launches MixFlip Globally A Foldable Phone with Impressive Features

TapTechNews September 26th news, earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the MixFlip in China, which is the company's first folding clamshell phone. Last month, it was sold in limited quantities in places like Bulgaria, and today, Xiaomi officially launched the MixFlip to the global market.

The inner screen of the MixFlip adopts a 6.86-inch foldable OLED screen (2912x1224, 120Hz LTPO, ultra-thin glass), and the outer screen is a 4.01-inch panel (1392x1208, 120Hz). Both screens offer a peak brightness of 3000 nits and a high-brightness mode of 1600 nits. Xiaomi said that the outer screen supports keyboard input and 200 commonly used applications (including YouTube and Google Maps).

This phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor and a 4780 mAh battery. After 1600 charging cycles, the battery can still maintain 80% of its capacity and supports 67W wired charging, but does not support wireless charging.

The MixFlip adopts the Leica rear camera system, equipped with a 50MP main camera (1/1.55-inch sensor size) and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens. The telephoto lens also provides a minimum focusing distance of 9 centimeters and can take close-up photos. The front camera is 32MP and is used for video calls.

The starting price of the Xiaomi MixFlip overseas is 1299 euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 10188 RMB, 12GB/512GB version), and black and purple versions are provided. In contrast, the domestic price of this version is 6499 RMB.
