Kaspersky released a statement through this media: 'After careful research and assessment of the impact of US legal requirements, the result shows that it is no longer feasible to continue to develop in the US market, so we have made this painful and difficult decision.'

Kaspersky entered the US market in 2005. Kaspersky said that due to this turmoil, the number of affected employees is less than 50. Some of the affected employees said that they have now received severance pay, but no specific details were disclosed.

TapTechNews reported on June 21st that the US government announced plans to ban the sale of anti-virus software produced by the Russian Kaspersky Laboratory in the US. US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said that for considerations of US national security, the government will take measures to prohibit US companies and citizens from using products developed by the Russian anti-virus software company Kaspersky.
