JetBrains Toolbox Upgraded to 2.4 with New Features and Gitee Support

TapTechNews July 8th news, JetBrains' software Toolbox has been upgraded to version 2.4, bringing updates such as a redesigned user interface theme and right-click context menus. In addition, browser extension supports Gitee (a Chinese hosting service).

JetBrains Toolbox is an IDE tool that supports installing, automatically updating, rolling back and downgrading IDEs, and updating plugins along with the IDE.

Toolbox App 2.4 has redesigned the interface, adding a switch named Using Background Effects, allowing to enable or disable the gradient effect. In addition, simply right-clicking on the name of the tool in the list can access tool update settings, an overview of new features of the installed version, a link to the log file, etc.

Based on Toolbox App 2.4, JetBrains updated the JetBrains Toolbox browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, and added support for the Chinese hosting service Gitee. This extension allows users to clone and open projects directly into JetBrains IDE from project pages such as GitHub, GitLab and Gitee.
