TapTechNews May 21st news, according to Videocardz, AMD is set to launch the EPYC Milan 4004 series processors today, adopting the AM5 platform, with a maximum of 16-core specification, and some models equipped with 3DV-Cache.
AMD compared the EPYC 4004 series with the Xeon E-2400 series processors, claiming to offer up to twice the number of cores, 42% higher base frequency, higher boost frequency, and 5 times more L3 cache.
The EPYC 4004 series processors are equipped with Zen4 cores, providing a maximum of 28 PCIe 5.0 lanes, with a target TDP of 65W-170W, supporting dual-channel DDR5 5200 ECC memory and being compatible with the LGA1718 (i.e. AM5) socket.
